In this series of training opportunities, Ellen M. Drolette, author of Overcoming Teacher Burnout in Early Childhood, focuses on the many reasons why early childhood professionals can suffer from the low staff morale that causes such a high industry turnover rate. Included in this series are ways to motivate and inspire yourself and others to view their work in a healthy, intentional way and create a high-quality early childhood environment. In addition, personal stories from the field highlight how educators have themselves stayed motivated.

This introductory overview will allow participants to participate in a balance of small and large group discussion and hear inspirational stories from the field that will fuel positivity and optimism. This workshop focuses on some of the biggest struggles faced in early education and compassion fatigue, mental health, optimism, attitude, and being present.  Join Ellen for an uplifting, inspirational session.

What are we doing as leaders to help or hurt the staff or team when experiencing stressors like compassion fatigue, financial stress, or behavioral struggles in the classroom?  This interactive session will examine the structures, practices, missions, and philosophies that support you and your staff.

Overcoming Burnout in Early Childhood: Internal Barriers

Join Ellen in exploring some of the internal barriers that distract us from showing up sufficiently to support children and families. Participants will look within themselves to examine what stressors are currently feeding into their feelings of burnout.

Explore communication styles, personality traits, and temperaments to understand better how a deeper self-awareness can lead to a more peaceful learning environment.
